Clean Hydrogen in New Jersey
The New Jersey Fuel Cell Coalition will be phased out over 2023 as other organizations ramp up hydrogen and fuel cell activities in the state, particularly the NJ Clean Cities Coalition and the NJ Fuel Cell Task Force. The NJFCC website will remain active through 2023 to share related news. It has been an honor to work toward clean energy goals with the hydrogen/fuel cell community and other clean energy advocates.

Clean Hydrogen in New Jersey

Governor Phil Murphy signed a memorandum of understanding in March 2022 with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority to collaborate on a proposal to become one of the Regional Clean Hydrogen Hubs, administered by the U.S. Department of Energy, as included in the federal 2021 Bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.

The Northeast Regional Clean Hydrogen Hub represents a coordinated, multi-state approach to a hydrogen hub that connects an entire clean hydrogen ecosystem and includes clean hydrogen producers and users, technology original equipment manufacturers, and the research and development community, consistent with the core principles of greenhouse gas reduction, economic development, resilience, and environmental justice.
