New Jersey’s Fuel Cell Task Force Members Have Been Appointed
The New Jersey Fuel Cell Coalition will be phased out over 2023 as other organizations ramp up hydrogen and fuel cell activities in the state, particularly the NJ Clean Cities Coalition and the NJ Fuel Cell Task Force. The NJFCC website will remain active through 2023 to share related news. It has been an honor to work toward clean energy goals with the hydrogen/fuel cell community and other clean energy advocates.

New Jersey’s Fuel Cell Task Force Members Have Been Appointed

New Jersey’s Fuel Cell Task Force members were appointed and began their activities. The task force will inform policy and identify opportunities for New Jersey to realize the benefits of hydrogen and fuel cell technologies in helping the state meet its goal of 100% clean energy by 2050. Their findings, including recommendations for legislative or regulatory actions, will be submitted to the Governor and Legislature no later than one year after the task force’s creation. Members include:

In June 2020, the related bill (S762/A741) was signed into law by Governor Phil Murphy. The primary sponsors of the bill were Assemblymen Gordon Johnson, Herb Conaway, and Andrew Zwicker; and Senators Vin Gopal and Joseph Lagana. Six additional Assembly Members and one other Senator also co-sponsored the bill.
