U.S. National Blueprint for Transportation Decarbonization Released
The New Jersey Fuel Cell Coalition will be phased out over 2023 as other organizations ramp up hydrogen and fuel cell activities in the state, particularly the NJ Clean Cities Coalition and the NJ Fuel Cell Task Force. The NJFCC website will remain active through 2023 to share related news. It has been an honor to work toward clean energy goals with the hydrogen/fuel cell community and other clean energy advocates.

U.S. National Blueprint for Transportation Decarbonization Released

In September 2022, the leaders of the departments of Energy, Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and the Environmental Protection Agency signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for cooperation towards laying the groundwork for removing all emissions from the transportation sector by 2050. The MOU also called for the agencies to release a comprehensive strategy for decarbonizing the transportation sector, which was released on January 10, 2023, as the U.S. National Blueprint for Transportation DecarbonizationThe Blueprint offers a whole-of-government approach to addressing the climate crisis and meeting President Biden’s goals of a 100% clean electrical grid by 2035 and net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
